Stress refers to an accumulation of concerns that unbalances a person’s life. It can be defined as a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances. People complain about stress so much that it seems as though it may be a fact of modern life about which they can do little. However, we need to recognise the signs of stress and minimise the effects that it has on our lives.
