Salvation Army Bridge Online Program Guidelines The Salvation Army Bridge Treatment and Recovery Service Online Programs provide the opportunity for people over 18 years of age living in Australia to complete a fully online confidential recovery-based program. These programs provide the information and skills required to recover from substance dependence, as well as allow for clients accessing the programs to connect and share support with others impacted by substance use.

The guidelines for the forums in the online programs are the same as for our public forums and can be accessed here.

In addition to our online forum guidelines, there are some other information guidelines that must be agreed to and adhered to in order to access our online programs:

  • As part of our Salvation Army Bridge Treatment and Recovery Service Online Programs we will need to collect and record personal information from you that is relevant to your current situation. This information will be used confidentially to inform treatment effectiveness, and to manage risk and safety as required.
  • Any information gathered as part of your assessment or during the course of the online program is strictly confidential and will not be revealed to anyone outside of the online program staff without your permission. The only exceptions are when disclosures are required or permitted by law. Those situations typically involve substantial risk of harm to oneself or others, suspected abuse of children, if subpoenaed by Court, or if otherwise required or authorised by law.
  • Our online programs use evidence-based strategies to treat substance dependence, however no specific outcome can be guaranteed.
  • All content discussed during the online program live sessions or in closed program forums is confidential. Please do not share any information with non-members.
  • Attendance at live question and answer sessions while intoxicated or under the influence of a substance or substances is not permitted.
  • Inappropriate posts or discussions during live question and answer sessions may result in your removal from the session (or program if required).
  • The Salvation Army Bridge Recovery and Treatment Centre and staff reserve the right to remove you from our online programs and permanently deactivate your account if you are in breach of our guidelines.
  • Non-engagement in the registered online program from one month will result in staff ceasing contact. You are welcome to re-engage at any time.

By signing up to one of our online programs it is assumed that you have agreed to all relevant Salvation Army Bridge Treatment and Recovery Centre guidelines.
